Ardis Krainik Theatre

The Civic Opera House was built in 1929 and fully restored in 1996.

With one of the largest stages in Chicago, boasting six floors of seating for up to 3,600, orchestra pit and backstage facilities, The Ardis Krainik Theatre easily accommodates full scale theatrical productions, concerts, graduations, presentations and more.

The stage is also available for private dinners and receptions for parties of 50-850. Wow your guests with in-house theatrical lighting, backdrops, opera center vocalists and waitstaff that can provide world class service from just behind the curtain!
